We’re looking for a Mechanical Modelling and Simulation Engineer to further develop and optimize our electrolytic stack. Are you passionate about running simulations? You’ve already gained meaningful experience in FEM/FEA/CAE? You’re motivated to deepen your knowledge as well as broaden your skills regarding different simulation aspects, software and programming languages? Then join our team!

Your tasks:

  • Perform FEM/FEA/CAE simulation for the development of the electrolytic stack
  • Lead the mechanical optimisation of the electrolytic stack
  • Oversee and enable the rapid prototyping of new system components
  • Design optimisation for components including gaskets for gases and liquids by performing quantitative sensitivity analyses
  • Define, supervise, or perform testing for material characterization
  • Provide support in documentation for the prototyping of electrolyser stacks and systems
  • Support production and aftermarket teams

Your profile:

  • First things first: Enthusiasm for the part green hydrogen will play in tomorrow's world and Enapter's role in it
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or in an equivalent field of studies
  • Expertise in mechanical modelling (FEM/FEA/CAE) is a must-have
  • Experience in the following simulation aspects would be a plus but is not mandatory:
    • Non-linear analysis
    • Contact formulation
    • Hyperplastic and viscoelastic-plastic material
    • Gaskets creeps and viscous response in “pressure device” and / or in sealing modelling
    • Fluid-structure interaction
  • Understanding of devices working under pressure
  • Experience with design sealing systems (o-ring and gasket) as well as in designing components of plastic material
  • Knowledge in using CAD-software tools (Autodesk Inventor) and FEM/FEA/CAE software (Ansys, Nastram, Abaqus, COMSOL etc.)
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Matlab or Python would be advantageous
  • Fluent in Italian as well as good communication skills in English
